Byron Christopher Co (b. 1994, Manila) is a Filipino-German Art Director based in Köln, Germany.

He studied fine arts at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. By moving in between art and design, he achieved success as an art director after winning an international magazine cover competition with his provocative use of imagery, which was placed front and centre at the 2017 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Having a diverse inter-cultural background, he pursued master’s studies with a focus on memory and visual cultures at the Köln International School of Design. His design works gained recognition by being nominated twice for the Kölner Design Preis 2020/2023. His latest project is a photobook about ‘emerging images from archives’, in which historical photographs are emerged from his family’s past.

Byron’s works focus on visual cultures and image-based media, some of which have been shown at the Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity, New York Festivals, AWARD Awards, Museumsnacht Köln, photoszene, re:publica, and KISDparcours among others.
